Diffuser Automatic Lifting & Maintenance System
Oxirise is an automatic diffuser lifting and maintenance system that allows each individual diffuser assembly to be automatically raised to the water surface using compressed air.
This operation can be performed while the treatment process remains in service, eliminating the need to interrupt normal plant operations.
Dedicated pressure hoses are installed from the basin edge and connected to the floating air header.
Each pressure hose is routed alongside a downcomer hose and connected to the corresponding diffuser air manifold.
When a valve in the distribution box, located at the basin edge, is opened, compressed air is directed to the selected diffuser assembly.
The injected air displaces the water within the diffuser support tubes, creating buoyancy that causes the diffuser to float to the surface.
The Oxirise system provides the dual benefits of automatic diffuser cleaning and simplified maintenance.
As the diffuser assembly rises, the reduction in differential pressure promotes membrane flexing, helping to remove accumulated deposits and restore diffuser performance.
In addition, raising the diffuser to the surface allows operators to safely inspect, clean, and maintain the equipment without draining the basin or requiring specialized access equipment.
The distribution box is supplied with compressed air from common portable air compressors, providing a simple and cost-effective means of operating the diffuser lifting system.
